Sum of all folded protein chains
« on: November 25, 2007, 05:07:38 PM »
I have a question asking me to compare normal hemoglobin and sickle hemoglobin at the fourth level of protein structure but asks for any changes in "sum of all folded protein chains"?

I don't understand what it means by the phrase sum of all folded protein chains.

thanks

My best guess is that the question is asking about differences in how normal hemoglobin polypeptide chains assemble into their quarternary structure v. how sickle cell hemoglobin chains assemble.
