simple molarity question I need help on
« on: February 15, 2005, 02:00:22 PM »
I have this problem that asks How many mililiters of 0.165M of HCl  are needed to neutralize completely 25.0mL of 0.101 M Ba(OH)2 solution. Can anyone help me solve it? I know its simple, I just was never taught how. Thanks!!!

neutralization reactions - in this case you have two reactants that are strong  - ionize almost completely so:

Write a balanced chemical equation

Molarity = moles of solute/ liters of solution

This should be enough to get started.  If you need more help, post your work and someone will get back to you.
