cephalosporin question 1
« on: December 19, 2007, 06:55:44 AM »
i wanna know the reason that makes cephaloglycine an oral first generation cephalosporin yet it has 3-acetoxy methyl which is hydrolyzed in acid medium and makes lacton so not a bsorbed yet it is used orally.

2-can cephalosporins be assayed like penicillin iodometrically?

3-what is the effect of dilute acides and dilute alkali and conc alkali on cephalosporins
and how can we identify cephalosporins?
