Ammonia + Sulfuric acid reaction?

I am trying to do this question in my book that reads:
A 25.0 mL sample of sulfuric acid is completely neutralized by adding 32.8 mL of 0.116 mol/L ammonia solution. Ammonium sulfate, (NH4)2SO4, and water are formed. What is the concentration of the sulfuric acid?
And here I am trying to balance the equation for an hour until I finally gave up? So is that an error in the question or is my brain just not working?

Ammonia is basic because it reacts with water to create hydroxide ions.

NH3 (l) + H2O(aq) --> NH4+(aq) + OH-(aq)

2NH4OH + H2SO4=(NH4)2SO4+2H2O

Hello there,

For this chemical equation, where would there be water with which ammonia would react to form ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH)? Would it be the water in the aqueous ammonia solution?

Yes, we kinda all assumed it was a aqueous reaction, because the ammonia was given as a concentration, molarity, and not as a gas or a liquefied ammonia.  Basic high school chemistry tend to gloss over reaction in liquid ammonia, or other liquefied polar gases, exciting though they are.

When I performed the stoichiometry calculations, I did not get the textbook's answer.

Since the reactants are H2SO4 + 2NH4OH, the mole-mole ratio is 1:2.

NH4OH in mols = 0.0328 L x 0.116 M

                                   = 0.0380 mol

Therefore:

[H2SO4] = 0.0190 mol/0.0250 L = 0.760 M

The textbook gives an answer of 0.304 M.

No matter what's in textbook, 0.07608M is correct. Or 0.0761M to use 3 sigfigs.

Edit: typo (781 instead of 761) corrected.
