Instrumentation
« on: January 07, 2008, 07:32:25 PM »
I am using a Hitachi 717 in the research arena but I am having problems locating other users of this instrument.  Does anybody know of any other institutions that I may contact.  My main intent is to locate an equipment repair company for general maintenance and operational questions about some of the functions the Hitachi 717 is capable.  Any assistance will be appreciated.

Instrument sounds like an old model.  This company repairs Hitachi UVs and other stuff:  http://www.deltatechprod.com/vpasp/hitachi_detector_lamps.htm

I can also tell you if you call Hitachi USA...they will direct you to a local service rep probably $265/hr w/4 hr min + parts + travel + expenses....
