state subject test in chem
« on: January 14, 2008, 11:54:11 PM »
I have to take a chemistry subject test for the state dept of educ because my major is Bio, but I am mostly teaching Chemistry. I have 24 hours in it,which is considered a minor in my state but it is mostly undergrad classes. Chemistry has to be on my certificate in order to teach it. I am not sure the best way to prepare for it. Should I get some review books for AP Chem or SAT Chem and go through those before taking the test?  I know there is thermochemistry and equilibrium, gas laws, reaction rates, nuclear chem and the basic of atomic theory, elect config, maybe a little organic, etc. I was hoping to get some suggestions from you all or someone who has been in the same situation. Thanks for the input!
