SIGNIFICANT FIGURES or "sig figs"

Hi

I'm new here, didn't know they have chemistry forum hehe but anyways, I'm takin general chem in college right now (chem 108) and we talked about SIGNIFICANT FIGURES!

can someone tell me exactly how to answere these? I was soo lost in class today when we discussed this topic! thanx

For now, do a search on this forum, the topic comes up often.  Come back with some specific questions.
