The Question is does anyone know a good site where you can get a bit more information about common compounds such as aspirin (acetylsalicyclic acid), caffeine (trimethylxathenine) other than the CRC and experimental lab books?

yeah, this one. ::)

Why don't you try to do the problem, before you try to find the answer on-line.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
