Future ChemE student who needs help...
« on: February 23, 2008, 10:56:22 PM »
I have already been accepted to a school and have decided to study Chemical Engineering, but I'm wondered if I will be prepared enough to succeed. The farthest that I've gone into math and science courses in high school is;

Physics 1, AP Physics B, Calc 1, and AP Physics C, and only chem 1.

Any current engineering students in general or even someone who has already graduated who could give some input as to whether or not I've prepared myself well enough to do well in a ChemE schedule?

That looks fine, they'll teach you what you need to know. Why are you fretting anyways?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

I'm really not to sure.  I just keep hearing about how hard ChemE undergrad work can be.  It's really just intimidating!

Nah, just chill out.  You'll meet friends and you'll all do questions together and then go out for some drinks.  And party.  That's what university is about :)

The point is that any particular question or assignment in your undergrad career isn't going to be super-important.  So chill out and enjoy :)
