hi,

i have to do an experiment dealing with two impurities: CaO mixed with HCl (I'm guessing I will mix these two using titration?) and also Al(OH)3. I was wondering how the presence of these impurities will affect the formula (mostly emirical formula) of a compound of Ca(OH)2.

Do impure compounds even effect compound formulas?
