Acid-Base Reactions
« on: February 09, 2008, 04:02:06 PM »
Which of the following solutions is the most basic? 0.5 M NH3, 0.1 M KOH, 0.1 M Ca(OH)2?

the only thing I have been taught is the solubility rules. I am confused about what basic means? This may sound stupid to you, but our whole class is completely and utterly confused and lost.

Really? OK, start with wikipedia {clicky} then, if the glossary of your textbook isn't working out for you.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
