KOH -> Pure K

How do i get the KOH to become just potassium.  is it dehydration or what

Pure K can be obtained by elecrolysis of moltem KOH or KCl. But only  very experienced chemists can do that!

Thanks man... but the best chemist i know is my father
and he is a biochemist so he has forgotten most of it
