i have some questin about the the activation energy for the reaction between bromide and bromate(V) ions
1 . In the experiment, my Ms just need us to use measuring cylinder is used instead of pipette to measure phenol and KBr /KBrO3 .why i don't need to
know the accurate volume of phenol ?
2 . Also i'm doing a pull report of this experiment and i need to plot a graph of the relationship between lnk and 1/T
(since k = rate constant and T is the time recorded )
i just know the time , and how can i get the values of k ?
3 . when bromine react with phenol , 2,4,6-tribromophenol (C6H2Br3OH) is formed . can anyone explain this to me ? why not C6H5Br?
thx .
