pH value depends one molarity of the solution
« on: February 18, 2008, 09:43:39 AM »
From the equation, pH=-log[H+], we know that the pH value depends on the concentration of the solution.

Given the acid, HCl
then dilute HCl and con HCl will have different pH value, right?

So do we have a standard pH value for the acid and base solution? Like when I say HCl has the pH value of 3, provided that it's placed under normal atm pressure and room temperaure?

If not, how do you tell the others the pH value of a certain kind acid and base?
