What would be the most effective acid to remove calcite deposits from a blue barite crystal, Hydrochloric or hydrofluoric?

NEVER HYDROFLOURIC! You will kill yourself. Professional chemists will avoid HF like the plague.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
