Need tables on structural isomers
« on: March 14, 2005, 10:21:56 AM »
Hi there,,
Im a high school student n im in need of some help
Well, I need a table for maximum number of structural(Constitutional) isomers for different compounds..For eg: I hav one for alkanes

Number of Constitutional Isomers of Alkanes.

Carbon Atoms   Number of Isomers
4                    2
5                    3
6                    5
7                    9
8                    18
9                    35
10                    75
12                    355
15                    4,347
20                    366,319

I need ones like these for alkenes,Alkynes, alchohols n all other groups if possible..Thanks

go ahead and figure it out. High School students have way to much time anyways.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
