How do you determine the balancing equation for transition elements. s/a Fe + HCl=?
     I know that elements in group 1 is +1, in group 2 is +2 and so on. I know that Cl is in group 7 which is -1 but how do I know what the transtional elements are if they do not tell me. Would the ans be FeCl + H2, then balance?
