Colloid textbook recommendation
« on: April 29, 2008, 07:03:54 PM »
Hi all,
I'm a physicist that need to learn a bit about colloids and I'm looking for recommendations on literature. What I need to know is more how/why/in what way colloids stay in solution and how/why/in what way colloids deposit or aggregate on different surfaces. The desired approach is from the physics side...

Can anyone recommend any textbooks that treat these issues? And has anyone read any of these books and can comment them?
- Particle Deposition & Aggregation: Measurement, Modelling and Simulation, M. Elimelech
-Foundations of Colloid Science, 2nd ed., Robert J. Hunter
-Intermolecular and Surface Forces, 2nd ed, Jacob N. Israelachvili
