pH of buffer solution
« on: May 11, 2008, 03:30:32 PM »
An aqueous solution contains 0.326 M Na2CO3 and 0.461 M HCO3-.

i need to find the pH. i know i have to do an ice table and equations to find pH but i dont know the Ka or Kb values of sodium carbonate. frankly im quite lost with all this acid/base buffer stuff.

how do i go about doing this?

i think my balanced equation is:

Na3CO3 + H20 <-> HCO3 +NaOH
