Extract Formaldehyde

Hello,

I´m new in forum and I speek english very poor.

I hope to help anybody needs, but now I´ve a question. A client needs to detect formadehyde in clothes, the problem is that the laboratory we use, needs the extract of formaldehyde from clothes.

How could I do it? (we have a little laboratory)

fomaldehyde or formalin...isnt that a volatile compound?
traces of it in clothes would be one difficult thing to analyze i think...
but apparently maybe like any usual analysis you need to cut samples from the cloth...
