Cahn-Ingold-Prelog Notational System

Rank the following groups using the Cahn-Ingold-Prelog system:

—CH(CH3)2   —CH2CH2Br   —CH2Br   —C(CH3)3
       A                 B              C              D

the ans is  C > D > A > B

can anyone explain?!
I am very confused about the Cahn-Ingold-Prelog system and I need the explanation in detail way.
Anyone help?!
