Hey i'd appreciate it if someone could help me with this... i think the answer is 7.214 %
Balance the following equation
KMnO4 + Sb(SO4)3 + H2SO4 - MnSO4 + Sb2(SO4)5 + K2SO4 + H20
In the determination of the % of antimony (Sb) in an alloy. 1.67g of the alloy were dissolved in excess sulphuric acid. When the solution was cooled and diluted, it was titrated with standard potassium permanganate solution, containing 2.95g of KMnO4 per dm3. The volume of potassium permanganate required was 21.2 cm3. Calculate the percentage of antimony in the alloy and calulate the number of grams of sulphuric acid used in this reaction..
