I was using it to determine if a rock I found was calcite or dolomite. Dolomite is evolving CO2 from a cold solution. Calcite need some heating. Its also very neat to clean your specimens, if the crystals is not a carbonate-mineral and are buried in calcite.

Later I have asked to get anhydrous Copper Chloride for some crystallization experiments. Potassium permanganate because you can disinfect drinking water and easily create flames if mixed with sugar. And even lab equipment like pyrex-testtubes. Microscope glassplates, microscope coverglasses. All of high quality.

I just wondered, what else can I get?
