What would be an effective and inexpensive method of desiccating wood ash grade KOH {(lye) which in itself is a desiccant} for biodiesel production of used veggie oil and lard? I am afraid that the process would favor saponification with "wet" lye

A oven at ~105 ÂșC overnight (depending on amount and surface area).
