desiccating KOH
« on: August 01, 2008, 03:26:00 PM »
What would be an effective and inexpensive method of desiccating wood ash grade KOH {(lye)  which in itself is a desiccant} for biodiesel production of used veggie oil and lard?  I am afraid  that  the process would favor saponification with "wet" lye

A oven at ~105 ÂșC overnight (depending on amount and surface area).
