I've been performing the iodine-clock reaction with potassium iodide and potassium peroxydisulphate to investigate reaction rates at different temperatures. Unfortunately I've managed to completely mess up my results and it's too late to perform anymore experiments. So I'm wondering if I can create some results from the Arrhenius equation. I know the activation energy of the reaction but I have two unknown values still within the equation A and k. Does anyone know what one or both of these values will be?
I intitially thought that A was a constant but I read somewhere on these forums that A is connected to the rate of collision, would increasing the temperature change the value of A? And lastly would A make much of a difference to my results or could I ignore it and get fairly accurate results for different temperatures?
