Beware teh Dihydrogen MoNoXiDe!
« on: March 15, 2004, 02:46:19 AM »
In Aliso Viejo California, a suburb in Orange County almost scheduled to vote for a ban on foam cups because the "dangerous dihydrogen monoxide" was used in their production, described as being deadly if inhaled.

Again, another case of people being scared out of their wits due to governmental officials out to find the next big thing to make people be scared of.

Its horrible that scientist aren't even consulted in these processes and completely scientific illeterate people are making these decisions. No wonder the field of amateur chemistry is shrinking, its because these people who know nothing of science say we are not qualified to have certain material. They can't protect me from myself nor should they try to legislate it. Geesh, I could go off.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
