For a research project on body armor, I need to find a heat resistant flexible adhesive that is capable of bonding SiC (Silicone Carbide). No luck so far :(.Any ideas?

Flexible after setting, or before setting?

After setting, somewhat like rubber cement or CA(super glue).

I am not sure if this will be a good enough adhesive and it will take 24 hours at the minimum to set in this type of application. I would go to your local automotive parts store and look at some of the high-temperature gasket makers and/or gasket sealants.

Cheap and easy to try and would be a good start.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Is there a heat-resistant cyanoacrylic? What would be a nice way to find the temperature at which cyanoacrylics stop adhering via experiment? Also, is just heating the glue in a conventional stove dangerous?

The polymer would probably break down at around 200 C or so. An oven is fine, if you're just mucking around with small amounts. I wouldn't want you to suffocate from fumes or anything.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

What level of temperature resistance are you after  -  what will it's opperating temp need to be?

Tonight I’m going to party like it’s on sale for $19.99!

I am looking for a heat resistance to approximately 180-200 degrees celcius, so thanks!

I think you can get a range of heat resistant and flexible silicone resins.  They are sold in tubes and come in colours and clear. You get higher temperature resistance the more fillers get loaded into them.  They are like the engine sealants that enahs suggested and some get used for sealing ovens.
