Derive this formula.

I was given this as a hint:

Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Solve it how? I mean, you already have something equal to something else. Where are you trying to go with it?

The problem just says "Derive this formula." This is from Chandler's Introduction to Modern Statistical Mechanics, problem 1.9

I PDF'd it. I am already pissed enough. I just wrote it out and planned on scanning it, but just found out my scanner is broke! I hate doing forumals on a computer, so hopefully I did not skip to much for you when typing it up.

That is fantastic. Thanx! I've been working on it since Friday to no avail. I owe you a big one, let me know whenever you need it cashed in.

+10 karma, for going to all that trouble.
