Please Help with Nuclear Localization Signal
« on: October 10, 2008, 05:10:36 PM »
Which of the following kinds of proteins would you expect to contain a nuclear
localization signal? Please choose all correct answers.

Ribosomal proteins
DNA polymerases
Chromosomal proteins that bind DNA into a compact configuration
Secreted enzymes destined for the extracellular space

I thought that it was Ribosomal and Chromasomal proteins but that is wrong. Can someone please help me what they think is the right answer?

Ribosomes are in the cytoplasm.  Think of where some of the other proteins need to end up in order to function.
