Molar Absorptivity
« on: October 15, 2008, 05:31:42 PM »
I need to find a what the peak molar absorptivity for Nile Blue Perchlorate is. This has proven to be rather difficult, and I have thus far come up with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have already experimentally determined what it is, but need to compare it to a literature value to determine the accuracy of my findings. The peak absorptivity occurs at 628nm.

The value that I have experimentally determined is that the absorptivity at 628nm is 53 899.52 L cm-1 mol-1. If you can find it at any other wavelength or with different units, I would gladly take those values as well.

Nile Blue Perchlorate is also known as:

Nile Blue 690
Nile Blue A Perchlorate
Nile Blue A
5-amino-9-(diethylamino)-benzo[a]phenoxazin-7-ium perchlorate
