Double reciprocal equation for M.M. equation question
« on: October 21, 2008, 08:35:10 PM »
This is an algebra question but I'll ask it here:

How do you get from the obvious reciprocal of the M.M. equation (just flip numerator and denominator) to the slightly less obvious Y=MX+B form?.  I know there's some simple algebra you use but I'm just not seeing it at the moment.

Here's the wikipedia page that shows the two equations I'm talking about:

Could somebody show me with latex or something maybe?  Thanks.
