Calculate Total Energy Change
« on: October 28, 2008, 09:00:13 PM »
Anyone able to help me with this problem?  I missed some classes being sick last few weeks and I'm not sure where to go with this.  I'm trying to find something else in the book or online but I can't find much.

Calculate the total energy change for the reaction between Ca and O2(g).

I've got a sheet with IE1, IE2, IE3, EA1, EA2, :delta: Hsub, :delta: Hfus, and :delta: Hv.

If you can help me, if you could first give any formulas to use and then give the answer in another post, I'd like that so I can try and calculate the answer myself.  Thanks!
