If chlorine and oxygen gas come into contact as byproducts of electrolysis, can they react explosively?

I'm moderately sure O2 and Cl2 are pretty unreactive with each other.  H2 and Cl2 on the other hand...

Indeed, Oxygen and Chlorine gas are both oxidizers.

As these 2 substances are both oxidizers in the redox reactions and in general it is not probable to react one with the othe explosively. But they react forming Cl2O (a rather strange oxide: it forms HClO4 with water).
