Reaction Mechanisms
« on: November 10, 2008, 08:29:14 AM »
Hey everyone,

I'm having some trouble understanding how to draw up reaction mechanisms. Does anyone know of any good websites or text books that can explain them well? Or even a few general rule of thumbs or something? I'm currently using McMurry Organic Chemistry, any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

hi,I'm facing the same problem before. My suggestion is practice and practice. Most important thing is --- fully understand what is the reaction and the theory, then you will feel easy to learn. Always have a pen and paper in your hand when studying mechanism. :)
