Need Help w/ Halogenation Problem
« on: November 13, 2008, 11:13:40 PM »
I'm trying to find the name of the product of this halogenation reaction

I thought it would be trans-2,3-dibromo-1-dichloro-cyclopentane, but apparently that's wrong. Does anyone know what the name should be?

And what substituents would I be missing? I thought I had the chlorines and Bromines accounted for.

I suppose 1,2-dibromo-3,3-dichloro-cyclopentane would be better
