TISAB vs ISA

(1/1)

contour_pl:
Hi there,

I was just wondering what the benefits of using TISAB (total ionic strength adjusting buffer) are, when compared to ISA (ionic strength adjuster)?

Thank you for your help.  :)

ManfredG:
ISA is "ionic strength adjuster" and is a solution used for performing analyses with Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE). Please note that a different ISA is used with each different electrode (ISE). TISAB (total ionic strength adjustment buffer) is a specially named ISA for a fluoride electrode (ISE).
