« on: April 26, 2005, 07:45:09 PM »
i'm doing the titration of calcium hydroxide by hydrochloric acid. Small problem! need to dilute the acid first. i know it has to be diluted from 2mol dm-3 to 0.02moldm-3 but not sure how to prove it. there are supposed to b some calculations i need to do...??? :'( :-[ :'(

Say you need V of 0.02M HCl. It will be 0.02V mole of HCl. The same amount of acid can be found in 0.02V/2 mL of 2M acid.

Check my CASC for dilutions and solution preparation calculations.
