Is Magnesium paramagnetic?

Just wondering because if it is, it's throwing off our H-NMR readings.  Thanks

Magnesium has 2 paired valence electrons, you tell me.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

:D Did I just get pwnd?  I cracked open the gen chem book and it says that paramagneticism is when there are unpaired electrons.  Obviously, not the case because Mg has full valence electron shell at 3p.  Apparently, Mg is diamagnetic.
