ISU equilibrium lab
« on: April 30, 2005, 07:16:43 PM »
Hi,

I was just assigned a major lab on equilbrium and the amount of work they expect us to do on it is insane! The main objectives is to study the quantitative aspects of equilibirum and to seek a mathematical expression that relates the concentrations of reactants and products present at equilibrium. Any hints or precautions I should take when doing this lab?

For the "Pre-lab assignment", I'm not quite sure how you do this question;
a) What is [Na+] in 15.0mL of 0.010mol/L NaCl(aq)?
b) What will be the [] of Na+(aq) if the 15.0mL of 0.010mol/L NaCl is:
     i) diluted to 25.0mL with distilled water?
     ii) added to 15.0mL of 0.010 KCl(aq)?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

And I'm sure I'll be back with questions about the Post-lab assignment. lol
Thanks again!

do u know that [] stands for concentration?

use M1V1 = M2V2 to solve
