Elements

When we say that an "Element" is made up of a pure sample with all of the same kinds of atoms and cannot be further separated in simpler elements.

What is a SIMPLE example on this statement that can make it more clear especially for me as a beginner in "Chemistry".

Thanks.

Well, lets try some guesses.  What sort of things you've seen before might be elements, and which might not?  You may have some problems at first, because it is a tough question, when you're just starting out.  But you'll be better off having tried, when exam time comes.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
