cryogenics/chemicals for removal of hair
« on: January 29, 2009, 07:20:59 PM »
Is it possible to use a cryogenic application of some sort to remove body hair?  Please
understand I have no knowledge of chemistry or cryogenics.  I just want to find an
easier, quicker, pain-free process to remove body hair.  I have this idea I want to see if
there is anything feasible about it.  So, I need all you chemistry/science geeks(liberal
arts geek-here) to aid my quest.  I have volunteers(me), if anybody has an idea.
Feel free to e-mail me at cdavis1960@live.com if you want to discuss this further.
Thanks all.

Since hair grows from the root (follicle) which is embedded in the skin layer the method would have to selectively destroy the follicle leaving other tissue undamaged.

IMO, cryogenic hair removal is very unlikely.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
