Atomic radius of elements...
« on: February 15, 2009, 07:33:28 PM »
Compare the atomic of lithium and boron..

Why does the atomic radius of boron smaller than lithium??

Boron have an extra electron shell therefore, have a more screening effect..
Hence, the pull of the nucleus of lithium will be stronger than boron.

So, Why does the atomic radius of boron smaller than lithium??

Thanks..
