It really depends on the paper, and the source of the color, and what you need the paper for, afterward.  A little more specificity, (well, a lot more, actually,) would allow us to give you a more helpful answer.  'Tho my knee-jerk responce would probably be, that you can get the best results if you just buy the correct type and color of paper for your application.

Hypochlorite, peroxide, etc. are all the usual bleaching agents.


I believe industry uses Cl2O.
Neither flask nor beaker.

When doing work experience in a tissue paper factory a few yearsd back, they used Sodium Hyperchlorate to bleach off cuts of rolls back to white for recycling back into pulp.  Blue was the hardest colour to bleach out - it needed 10 times the amount of bleach to shift the blue dyes than it did for the pinks, yellows and greens.
