Energy of Hydrogen
« on: April 17, 2011, 01:46:24 PM »
Hi guys,

I know that "H" has energy of -0.5 by using the equation: E=-1/2n^2 where n=1 for the ground state energy for the hydrogen atom.

The question I don't seem to understand is why the energy of H^+ is 0?

Could someone please help me with this question, thank you!
