rate law question
« on: March 13, 2009, 09:31:57 PM »
ok i have a mixed solution of these products with these amounts in mL

         water        buffer      .3mKI      starch       .002M Na2S2O3
trial 1 113           25           20           2                     10
trial 2 103           25           30           2                      10
trial 3  83            25           30           2                     10

then all of these mixtures were added to a .1MH2O2 ML solution

trial 1    30
trial 2    30
trial 3    50

time for reaction to occur for the trials

trial 1    70 seconds     rate 7.14x10^-6
trial 2    48 seconds     rate 1.04x10^-5
trial 3    26 seconds     rate 1.92x10^-5

can someone explain to me what would happen to a reaction if i take away the NaS2O3 solution?

and if the concentration of the of the NaS2O3 was greater how would it affect the reaction
