Is a solution of ions always balanced?

In a solution that contains ions, does the number of cations always equal the number of anions? (Or, at least, are the numbers of each type of ion usually equal in a solution?)

THe sum of negatice and positive charges are equal!

Think AlCl3, Na2SO4, K3PO4, Fe2(SO4)3 and so on...
