Calculation for Mass?
« on: March 26, 2009, 12:36:48 AM »
Does anyone know the calculation for this? I am really stumped on it.

Show the calculation for the mass of magnesium metal required to produce 40.0 mL of H2
with a temperature of 27.6oC and an atmospheric pressure of 749 mmHg.
(Use equation (1) and (3)).

Any help would be appreciated!

Well so how much gas is in 40.0mL at those conditions given? Aka how many moles? Start there and maybe the rest will fall in place for you.
