Electron configuration for element 147
« on: March 24, 2009, 10:00:45 PM »
My teacher gave everyone an element number & asked us to figure out the electron configuration. I got 147. How do I figure it out?

lol..:p..I dont think she was thiking about the periodic table...maybe she was just giving numbers for you to practice the electronic configuration..but 147 is still a little too long..lol

It is in here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periodic_table_(extended)

I think in your answer you will need to justify why it is in that position. You will need to understand the rules for electron orbital filling - start with the chemguid link that Las gave you.

I realize they were probably talking about extending the rules they understand, but 147 seems awfully far off and annoying to have students do.

Agreed.
seems pointless as very (extremely) unlikely to be testable given the diminshing stability / half-life of element swith atomic number 100+
