Osmotic Pressure?

Ok, so I have a question. Osmotic Pressure is given by pi=MRT

There is no mention of differences across different solvents and solutes.

So I assume that the osmotic pressure of a 1.0 M alcohol in water solution is the same as a 1.0 M salt in water solution (both at a constant temperature of 25 C)?

NEW QUESTION: Does osmotic pressure depend on the identity of the solvent? (eg alcohol in water vs. alcohol in benzene) Yeah, I figured since it's a colligative property, identity of the solute doesn't really matter.
