Anyone could suggest me a free-ware that make my life easier to do my physics and chemistry report?Not like Microsoft Word.

One would assume that they would like some of the specialized symbols. Also, spell checkers and the like could be friendlier for Chem, Physics, and Math. There may be a MS Word add-in, but i have no knowlege of it.

OpenOffice + GNUPlot. As far as I know both are free. OpenOffice is free 100% as I am using it (check http://www.openoffice.org) - it comes with built in Latex style formula and equation editor. GNUPlot makes plots and does some statistical calculations, if you are interested I can check details later today (in about 10 hours from now).

Thanks mate.Well i think I will donwload it later.But i just want to ask one more thing.How about if I buy a Mac.Will it be okay to be used as engineering laptop?I mean as a chemical engineering student I need to use my notebook for assignment and other related works.
